Who we are
Cheket is a tool for coordinating cleaning and maintenance work at a property. The application is at cheket.app. You can reach us at info@cheketapp.com.
What we collect
Account information
Cheket uses Google to sign you in. When you do, we receive your email address, your name, and a Google account identifier. We store these to identify your account and to show your name next to work you record. We never receive your Google password.
Information you enter
Whatever you put into the app: property names and addresses, area descriptions, access codes, notes, task lists, visit records, charges, and the contact details you choose to add for an owner or manager.
Work records
When someone marks a task complete, we record which task, which area, who marked it, and when. These records are permanent by design — the history of what was done is the point of the product — and are visible to the members of that property.
Feedback you send
If you use the in-app feedback feature, we receive your message, the page you were on, and — only if you include one — a screenshot. Access codes and notes are blacked out of that screenshot before it leaves your device.
What we do with it
We use your information to run the service: to show you your properties, to put the right tasks on the right checklist, to attribute work to the person who did it, and to respond to feedback you send us.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Information about a property is visible to the people who are members of that property. Adding someone as a member gives them access to that property's areas, access codes, notes, and visit history. Removing them ends that access.
We share information with third parties only where it is needed to operate the service: Google for sign-in, and Amazon Web Services for hosting and email delivery. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
How it is protected
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Access codes and notes are additionally encrypted at rest, so they are not readable directly from the database. Access to a property's data requires being signed in and being a member of it.
No system is perfectly secure. Please do not store information in Cheket that would cause serious harm if disclosed.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. Work records are retained as a permanent history for the property they belong to. If you would like your account and data removed, email us and we will do it.
Your choices
You can edit or delete most of what you enter directly in the app. For access to a copy of your data, correction, or deletion of your account, email info@cheketapp.com.
Children
Cheket is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
